Take an outdoor/indoor tour of Woodhill’s rejuvenated barn, the perfect retreat for hardy Minnesotan platform tennis players.
FACTS
History Founded in 1915, the Woodhill Country Club spans 140 acres and features a 1917 golf course designed by Donald Ross.
Racquets Facility The postcard-worthy barn neighbors four paddle courts. (Ten clay tennis courts are located near the main clubhouse.)
Outdoors Members gather on the large deck between two of the courts and use the outdoor patio on less snowy days. The scenic views stretch across many sporting areas, including three skating ponds, a sledding hill, a luge run, and the golf course.
Indoors In a space that once boarded 32 horses, there is now a large 16-seat bar, many family-size restaurant tables, a commercial kitchen, 15 windows for viewing, an oversized 100-year-old fireplace, a lounge area, and the pro shop.
Bonus Fact Woodhill CC has held Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary certification since the 1990s and is proud of its care for the environment.
